Herschel

Meet Herschel. Doesn't she look so full of joy? She's a sweetheart, and made such a pretty bride. I had to include this photo because it really captures who she is. Her joy is contagious! Here are a few posed portraits that show off the hairstyle I gave her.

I especially love how she chose this comb to the side. Classy!

Ashley

This is David and Ashley. Aren't they darling? They met for a "first look" photo session before the wedding.

Ash was just a delight to work with! It was especially fun to have a part in her big day, since she's been dating my best friend's younger brother for many years. I'm so happy for them both.

Ashley came to her trial run with a bunch of great updo photos and explained to me her simple and realistic hopes. She was looking for a part in the front, with the sides swept back softly, plenty of volume on top, and lots of soft curls pinned low on her head. She has thick, layered hair, so this was a great choice for her. I was uber happy with the results, and I hope she was as well. This turned out to be one of my favorite updo's.

Here I am doing what I love. :) This was the maid of honor, Kelly, who was so pretty and sweet!

Here's a shot of the finished style I did for the maid of honor. She's the middle girl in blue. She wanted her hair to one side, so I made her a curly little flower ponytail. :)

Congrats Dave & Ash! Thanks for allowing me to be part of your wedding day! Also, many thanks to the fabulous Kate Magee (http://www.katemagee.com/) for creating such beautiful pictures and allowing me to repost them here!

LauraLynne

Just a fun shot of my art supplies!
These are from the last wedding I did (another referral--yay!) back in April. The bride had very fine hair, and was worried that anything but a simple french twist might look bad. I assured her that I could do something that looked full and pretty. She came to her practice well prepared with lots of great photos of updo's she liked, and we came up with this style together. On the wedding day, I made sure I snapped some photos afterwards, since her photographer didn't shoot pics before the veil was on.

Melanie

These are just photos I took (I will post the professional ones if I am able to get them), but this is better than nothing. Melanie was a referral from a former bride. (Thanks, Annie!) She flew in just in time for the wedding, so unfortunately, we didn't get to have a practice run. However, we were both pleased with how the style turned out. She had long, naturally curly hair, and wanted the curls swept back with a lock hanging down to frame her face. Her bridesmaid, who had short hair with layers, wanted an updo and told me to do whatever I thought would work best. I liked how it turned out--her highlights really showed off the style.

Kate...last wedding of 09!

I have been looking forward to doing Kate's hair for the past several months. She is an old friend, so I was excited to be doing her wedding! Then I found out that my favorite local photographer (http://www.lydiajane.com/) was shooting the wedding, and I was even more elated. Kate was a beautiful bride and Lydia did a phenominal job capturing her happiness on film. I hope you enjoy these shots as much as I do.

Suzanne

This is a friend of mine, Suzanne. She has beautiful natural curl, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to be her stylist on her wedding day. She made my job easy! What a radiant bride...
